Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Washington, D.C., this week for a state visit. Panelists on Washington Week With The Atlantic joined to discuss what Xi’s conversations with President Trump reveal about trade, AI, the war with Iran, and more.
It seemed almost as if Xi and Trump “were in two different places,” Adam Harris, the host of Radio Atlantic said last night. “Trump likes to move fast and negotiate and say, We’re going to get a deal done right now, and China is saying, Well, we’re still trying to thaw this relationship that has been sort of tense.”
